Full steam ahead

Final EA Release

EA 6 marks the final update for the Early Access version on Patreon. From here on, I’ll be focusing on fully polishing the game in preparation for the version 1.0.0 release.

I’m really happy with how the H-scene sprite reworks turned out. I think we can all agree the new sprites are a big improvement over the old ones. I took extra care to make sure the body proportions actually make sense. On top of that, I consider the basement mechanic complete. With the added QOL features like the object category and preset system, it’s a much better experience now.

Release Date?

The plan was to release the game as paid on Itch.io sometime in September or later, depending on how polished it feels. Back in January, I mentioned that I wasn’t planning a Steam release, but I’m starting to reconsider that.

While I’ve been improving the art and features, I’ve also been fixing a lot of the old, messy code. I can't promise a release date for version 1.0.0 yet, especially if I go the Steam route, since I’ll need time to read the documentation and implement Steam-specific features.

Some references and features will need to be removed. Also, If you’ve donated $10 or more on Patreon or Itch, I’ll still provide a key.

Recent Events

I'm not too worried about the game getting banned. From the start, the game has been a very vanilla experience, and I’ve made sure to keep things within acceptable bounds.

Given the most recent Itch devlog, I'd say it'd probably be best to create a duplicate page of the main one one with payment or donations enabled, it'd be deindexed the same as during the bans but still be visible to anyone that follows you, such as yours truly. Would love to pay for the game when it's ready, but I don't trust Patreon and am leery of Steam after they caved to the pressure earlier this year.
